I do not know how much can be done for the first one...
[Li-Na sits down as well and pulls out the first uniform. It is a skirt and jacket combo. There are claw marks on the stomach (and maybe a little blood??? Li-Na tried to wash any blood out, but it's a little hard when things are torn...), a few tears on the skirt, a long tear on the right sleeve, and several small tears all over the back (like she'd come in contact with something rough and dragged her back along it). And then there are the scorch marks and the fact the collar has been half ripped away...]
[ Yogi takes the uniform, paling a bit when he sees what sort of markings are on it. Goodness, she hadn't been kidding about fighting monsters.. And blood? Oh dear. He glanced Li-Na worried for a beat, as if concerned she was not okay as she appeared, but said nothing as he laid the pieces out flat to consider them.
Okay. This was... pretty bad. ]
This is... you really put this through a workout, huh?
[ He pokes at the fabric of the jacket. This was probably salvageable if he could find material to patch it with. ]
Is this a special material or will a similar material of black do?
[ He nodded, sure he could patch the jacket. The skirt too, though
finding the right fabric would be a little more difficult. He might need to
make a trip to his work and see what they had. ]
I'll need probably find some supplemental fabric for both. I want to make
sure the fabric feels the same and I get the colors as close as possible so
you can't see the patch as easily.
[ He examined the edges of the rips. ]
I'll probably have to clean these edges. That will make the patching less
legible too.
It's all right. My exams are basically big projects at this point, which
I'm working on. I'm comfortable with the pace, so this will be a nice break
from that project. It's good to get your mind off what you're working on
now and then. Refreshes your brain, you know?
[Li-Na gives an understanding nod. She gets what Yogi means. Sometimes going over the same footwork over and over and over could be tiring. Putting on some different music and just... dancing naturally would do wonders for her focus.]
Yes. Sometimes you just need to do something else for a little while. Something you choose for yourself and is not assigned to you.
[ He got up and bustled into his work room - really a second bedroom
he had converted into a work room, and came back out with a black fabric.
He sat back down in front of Li-Na and slid the fabric beneath the skirt
and held it up to her. ]
[ He beamed, glad that she approved, and went back in to get some
thread, scissors and a needle. A patch like this wouldn't work well through
his machine, so a hand sew it was. He could work around the edges of the
tear much better. ]
Did you ever get your tour of the university? I thought you had mentioned
wanting one.
[ He settled on the group, opening the skirt and holding up the
tattered area, taking the scissors and 'cleaning' the edges. ]
[ He works quickly and efficiently, bringing the skirt up to check the
edges and satisfied they were smooth enough he took some of the replacement
cloth and settled it up behind, double checking the color. ]
Re: after 3/3
Date: 2018-03-18 04:54 am (UTC)Oh, well, you're welcome to come any time. And if you haven't already, I can give you a tour of the campus too.
[ He poured the water, put the packs in, coming around and holding them out for her to select one. ]
I can't promise it will be all that exciting, though.
Re: after 3/3
Date: 2018-03-19 06:00 am (UTC)I have only seen the area around the arts college. I would appreciate a tour of the rest of campus.
[so she does not get horrifically lost looking for a math or english class]
Re: after 3/3
Date: 2018-03-21 05:43 am (UTC)Well then I would be happy to give you one!
[ He beamed, plopping himself down on the floor and stretching out his leg being iced. ]
But I guess first we should see to your clothing, right?

[she does not elaborate as to the nature of the workout, because honestly the evidence more than speaks for itself]
As far as I know, there is nothing particularly special about the fabric? So as long as it is similar, I will be happy.

Oh, and there is no hurry. You probably have exams to worry about.
